Goodbye February - Love Month

I love to decorate my home for the holidays.  My mother has seasonal decorations in our home almost all year round so it is no surprise that starting towards the middle of January I started to thinking about decorating for Valentine's Day.

The start of decorating began when a box of Valentine decorations and crafts arrived from the USA from my mother.  She definitely thinks about me and my Little Ladybug when she goes to the Dollar Store.

My mother and I also decided to create a Valentine wreath this year.  We used this tutorial from Amy from The Idea Room.  My mother purchased the foam heart and cut the required red felt circles to create the below wreath.  The felt is attached with metal pins.

I wanted to start doing cross stitch again so I purchased a pattern from Happinesst.  I followed most of the pattern but in a couple spots changed the stitching.  The pattern suggested a red and silver floss but I used DMC 962 and 304 on 14 aida (8" hoop).

I had to buy several items from Marie at Heartfelt Handmade.  Her items are always beautifully made and often there is a little "surprise" in the package.

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day.  Starting to prepare to decorate for Spring and Easter.
