The first step was punch out the cardboard fire engine and fire house pieces to assemble. My four year old daughter enjoyed punching out the pieces. There were lots of different items to punch out.
The instructions to assemble the fire station and fire engine is included in the activity book. I found the instructions easy to follow.
Majority of the assembling of the fire engine was a little tricky for my four year old. She had a little trouble lining up the pieces. I would recommend to have a little sticky tape available to secure the pieces together.
She quickly figured out how to put the pieces together to create the wheels. She enjoyed matching up the pieces.
There are lots of pieces to encourage the child's imagination. There are eight fire fighters that are all different including female figures. There are safety cones, a tree, dog, fire extingushers, burning fires and safety barriers. The activity book has arrange of different activities for the child to do. The skills encouraged included: counting; matching; colouring; and problem solving. I think my favourite part of the set is the activity book. It has activities for a range of ages.
My baby son enjoyed looking at it but this play set is designed for 3 years and older. My daughter requested to play the set several times in the last couple days.
The Fire Station Activity Book and Playset is a great item to keep your child entertained for hours. The fire station is very easy to remove the roof and lay flat in the box between playing sessions.
